The Science Behind Hangovers
When your blood vessels expand, or dilate, it can lead to the pain we know as a headache. When this symptom combines with a drop in blood sugar, the resulting fatigue, moodiness, blurry vision, shaking and sweating can really make a person feel bad. Alcohol even dilates or expands the blood vessels in your skin. This is what causes some people to have a flushed or reddish appearance after drinking.
