NBA Stars Who Give Back
Besides his own foundation, which provides scholarships to students wanting to attend his alma mater high school, Howard has helped raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which focuses on the research and treatment of deadly pediatric diseases, such as childhood cancer. Howard also has supported UNICEF, which provides a variety of services to poverty- and disaster-stricken areas of the world. These services include HIV/AIDS education, immunizations, food aid and water sanitation.
