Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean Diet was created by Oldways Preservation and Exchange Trust, the Harvard University School of Public Health, and the World Health Organization. The Mediterranean Diet recommends that 25 to 40 percent of total calories come from fat, including generous amounts of olive oil. According to research from February 2014, some people — including people from the Mediterranean, older individuals, and those with existing health conditions — who followed the Mediterranean diet had a lower risk for cardiovascular health issues.
