Healthy Ways to Celebrate Father’s Day
Bike! Hike! Walk! Whatever you do with the family this Father’s Day, try it outdoors. Nature is the perfect way to help dad unwind. Susanne Preston, MD, a clinical mental health counselor at South University in Virginia, suggests spending time outdoors and in nature because it’s good for a person’s mental health. Outdoor activities may also help a person de-stress, while promoting better physical health. So put dad and the whole family in a better mood this weekend with a hike or even a trip to the park! Make sure to pack some healthy snacks or a picnic lunch, sunscreen and lots of water.
