Zilactin relieves pain caused by cold sores and fever blisters. Apply to affected area up to four times a day.

Zilactin is an over the counter medication used to treat pain from cold sores and fever blisters in adults and children 12 years of age and older. Zilactin belongs to a group of drugs called oral pain relievers. It works by forming a protective film coating over the affected area  

This medication comes in gel form and is applied topically up to four times a day. Zilactin should not be used for more than 7 days without consulting your doctor or dentist. 

Common side effects of Zilactin include swelling and rash.
