What Does Your Manicure Say About Your Health?
You know your nails are spooning when they begin to concave, and look like a scoop or a spoon. This may be an indication of iron deficiency anemia (too few healthy red blood cells or iron in the body) or hemochromatosis, which is a condition where iron builds up in the organs. Spooning nails can also be a sign of heart disease and hypothyroidism.
