What Does Your Manicure Say About Your Health?
If your nail appears to be floating above the nail bed — making the ends of your fingers appear large or bulging — you may have clubbing nails. Also called “drumstick finger,” clubbing nails may be a sign of a few seemingly unrelated problems that cause low levels of oxygen in the blood. Clubbing nails are linked to inflammatory bowel disease, cardiovascular disease, liver disease, emphysema and AIDS.
