Warning Signs of Depression

Overeating or Appetite Loss

You are probably used to your own appetite and hunger schedule by now, so a sudden shift may be a sign that something is amiss. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, reduced appetite and possibly weight loss, or weight gain, might be signs of depression. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia and binge-eating often co-exist with depression. Be alert if you find yourself or a loved one regularly eating too little or too much.
