Tips to Start the New Year on a High Note
As the new year begins, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement. Before you know it, you’ve promised to give veganism a shot or you’ve signed up for two months worth of boot camp workouts. After a week or two, you admit defeat and make promises for next year. The key to sticking to a resolution is picking one that’s achievable and taking small steps toward a larger goal. The best way to create healthy habits is to make them part of your everyday routine. If you want to eat healthier this year, promise to make more of your meals at home, drink more water and switch from fried to grilled foods. If you want to exercise more, resolve to bike to work twice a week and take walks during your lunch break. Making these small changes can put you on the right track without overwhelming you, making 2016 the year to stick to those New Year’s resolutions.
