Tips for Living with Type 2 Diabetes
Finding out you have type 2 diabetes might throw you for a loop. Luckily, your diagnosis doesn’t have to be daunting. There are plenty of tips to help you make the adjustment to living with diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is a metabolic disease that causes high blood glucose (sugar) levels. The severity of the disease varies from person to person. It is caused by the body’s inability to use insulin (a hormone that regulates blood sugar) effectively. It develops most often in middle-aged adults but can also appear in children, teens and young adults. Your health care provider should provide you with the basics on how to manage your diabetes.
