Tips for Adults with ADHD
ADHD doesn’t have to make it impossible to focus — you may just need to tweak your environment! Let your coworkers know when you’re trying to focus, so that they won’t distract you. If you don’t have your own office, ask if you can use an empty conference room to get or buy noise-cancelling headphones. If you’re at a meeting or lecture, see if you can get the materials (like an agenda or outline) beforehand and write notes. When given directions, echo them back to make sure that you’ve remembered them correctly. It may also help to move around a bit to get your blood pumping and help you to focus.
