Tennis Health Benefits
According to a study by the American College of Sports Medicine, participating in tennis and other sports can lower the risk for depression — and this may be especially true in young women. When you exert yourself, your body releases chemicals that make you feel good. These chemicals improve your mood, reduce stress, increase optimism and may even ease the symptoms of depression. Aerobic workouts, like tennis, are especially good at releasing these chemicals, according to the US National Library of Medicine.
