Ankle Sprains

Ankle sprains are another common summer injury. Ankle sprains should be treated using the RICE approach — rest, ice, compression and elevation. Compressing your ankle by wrapping it and elevating your ankle to above your heart can reduce swelling and bruising and lead to a quicker recovery. Keep the ankle elevated for two to three hours daily, if possible.
