Summer Sports Safety Tips
No matter what water sport you choose to do this summer, be sure to use your best judgement, especially if kids are present. Keep these general water safety tips in mind before you hit the beach, pool or lake.
- Know your chosen water sport’s safety procedures
- Always check the weather before heading out
- Wear sunscreen, life jackets and sunglasses
- Stay hydrated
- Don’t operate any boat or watercraft under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- And never go alone
