Stars with Diabetes

In an interview with Diabetes Forecast magazine, King said that his aunt had diabetes, but that she never actually looked sick, so the condition didn’t mean much to him growing up. Not until his own diagnosis did King begin to understand how serious diabetes could be. Since then, King has started the Larry King Cardiac Foundation to help fund life-saving medical procedures for individuals without insurance. He has also supported charities like the Elton John AIDS Foundation and UNICEF, which focus on global health initiatives such as HIV/AIDS education and prevention programs.
