Larry King

It took a serious heart attack in 1987 for talk show host Larry King to stop smoking and start paying attention to his health. Despite his change of heart regarding his health habits, King was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 1995. King recalls his response to the diagnosis: “I was already exercising. I was pretty much watching my diet. Fat free. So I kind of took it as, Now? Now I get diabetes?” According to the Mayo Clinic, symptoms of type 2 diabetes develop slowly, and it is possible to have the condition and not know about it for years.
