Seasons Change — and So Does Your Body

Heart Attacks

The cold snaps of winter can raise your blood pressure, putting you at a higher risk of heart attack. Keep an eye out for the warning signs of a heart attack, such as chest pain, shortness of breath, sudden fatigue or dizziness, sweating, nausea, vomiting, irregular heartbeat and a blue tinge to your skin. Keep your heart safe in the winter weather by making sure to dress warmly and to not exert yourself too much. If you notice any of these symptoms, call 911 immediately.
