Running Safety Tips

Cool Down

Just like your warm-up, a cool-down can be essential to a run because it allows the body to gradually recover. The Mayo Clinic recommends a cool-down that involves running, just at a slower pace than your work out. Briskly walking can also work. Don’t forget to incorporate stretching into your cool-down, too. According to the Mayo Clinic, because it allows your joints to move in their full range of motion, stretching may help improve performance, flexibility and prevent injury.
