Who is Most Likely to Develop Multiple Sclerosis?

Although the cause of multiple sclerosis (MS) is unknown and the rate of this condition is relatively low, certain people are more likely to develop MS than others. People at greater risk for developing MS are those who are between the ages of 20 and 40, women and people who smoke or use tobacco products. Also, having a family history of MS may increase your risk as well.
