Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a broad term used to describe chronic or recurring inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract. Symptoms of IBD can include diarrhea, abdominal pain and cramping, blood in the stool, ulcers, weight loss, fever, skin disorders and even arthritis.
