Myth Buster: The Truth About Popular Diets

South Beach Diet

The South Beach diet was created by cardiologist Dr. Arthur Agatston and nutritionist Marie Almon. The diet was initially created to help prevent heart disease in Dr. Agatston’s patients. According to the Mayo Clinic, the South Beach Diet can have other health benefits besides weight loss, including improving your heart health.
