To avoid future gout attacks from occurring, there are a few diet and lifestyle changes that may help. Firstly, drink plenty of water and avoid drinks containing high fructose corn syrup. You can also reduce your alcohol intake Keeping your fish, meat and poultry consumption to a minimum may also help. Obtain protein from dairy products low in fat and keep your body in good shape by eating well and working out.
However, it should be noted that quick weight loss may lead to a rise in uric acid concentration in the blood. Some patients may also be able to switch medications, if theirs are connected to hyperuricemia.
