Foods That Help You Live Longer

Nuts

According to a Harvard study following 120,000 participants over 30 years, those who ate the most nuts were less likely to have died than those who avoided nuts. Indeed, daily nut eaters were less likely to die of cancer, heart disease and respiratory disease — three of the leading causes of death in America. Much like legumes, nuts can be a great dietary source of protein, fiber and antioxidants, which have been linked with improved heart health and may help reduce symptoms of IBS. Moderation is still key, however, as nuts can contain high portions of fat — and too much fat can boost one’s risk for obesity, MS and even cancer.
