Green Tea

Of the three main varieties of tea (green, black and oolong), green tea contains that highest concentration of antioxidants known as polyphenols. Several population-based studies have found a link between green tea consumption and reduced risks for certain cancers. These studies and several others have led researchers to believe that polyphenols may help protect against cancer by killing cancerous cells. Further preliminary research suggests that green tea may help osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis patients by reducing inflammation and slowing the breakdown of cartilage.
