Foods That Help You Live Longer

Avocado

Avocados are a pear-shaped fruit from the Persea americana tree, which can grow up to 65 feet high. Despite being demonized in the past for their high fat content, avocados have recently become a popular health food again, partly due to the discovery that most of the fat content was non-saturated and could actually help increase HDL (“good”) cholesterol and improve heart health. Additionally, avocados contain a variety of antioxidants called carotenoids, which have been directly linked to anti-inflammatory responses in the body and may even help reduce the risk of conditions like RA and osteoarthritis.
