Essential Nutrients for Children
As adults, we likely know what foods and nutrients we should put in our bodies — but do those same rules also apply to kids? According to the Mayo Clinic, nutrition for kids is based on the same principles as nutrition for adults. Everyone needs the same types of nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, protein and fat. But how much of these nutrients do kids need at age 3? What about at age 13?
