Enterovirus D68 — What Parents Need To Know
You can help protect yourself from enterovirus by washing your hands with warm, soapy water for 20 seconds — especially before eating and after changing diapers. You should also avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with your hands. Always cover your cough with a tissue. If a tissue isn’t available, cough into the crook of your elbow or sleeve. Don’t share drinks or food with others and disinfect surfaces like toys, computer keyboards and doorknobs. Stay home if you aren’t feeling well and remember not to send sick children to school.
