Walking difficulties and issues with gait are also common symptoms of MS. Gait problems can be related to factors such as muscle weakness, muscle tightness, loss of balance, sensory issues, and fatigue. Physical therapy and the medication Ampyra (dalfampridine) can be used to decrease these walking difficulties.
