Celebrity Eating Disorders
Singer songwriter Fiona Apple opened up to Rolling Stone magazine about her struggles with anorexia in 1998.
“I’ve gone through stages where I hate my body so much that I won’t even wear shorts and a bra in my house because if I pass a mirror, that’s the end of my day,” Apple said.
This year, Apple once again made headlines after being heckled on stage by an audience member for her appearance. The heckler reportedly yelled out “Fiona, get healthy! We want to see you around in another 20 years!”
While the star admitted that she was a bit shaken by the outburst, she told Rolling Stone, "At this point, emotionally, it doesn't get easier to hear those criticisms — but it does get easier to be resolute about my reaction to it.”
