Bad Habits to Drop Before You Turn 30

Don’t Stay Up All Night

If you sleep past noon on your days off or you don’t hit the hay until 2 on weekends, chances are you have unhealthy sleeping habits. According to the National Heart, Lung, Blood Institute (NHLBI), poor sleep habits and sleep loss can negatively affect your health. While it may feel good to catch a few more zzz’s on the weekends, doing so can affect your body’s natural sleep rhythm. If your job is interfering with your sleep patterns, talk to your doctor. According to the NHLBI, getting enough sleep in your 30s can decrease the risk for diseases like obesity, heart disease, kidney disease, high blood pressure and diabetes later in life.
