Alternative ADHD Treatments
Sitting through a long presentation may be difficult or shopping may be overwhelming for patients with ADHD, but knowing which situations are difficult and staying patient with yourself or your child can help you work through these issues. It’s important to reward yourself or your child for getting through these difficult situations. If your child is struggling with a certain situation, timeouts are a good way to diffuse behavior and give him or her time to regain control. But remember to keep calm! if you remain calm, it’s likely that your child will mirror your behavior.
