9 Easy Stretches to Relieve Back Pain
Are your hammies tight? Your hamstrings run through the backs of your thighs. Tightness here can limit the motion in your pelvis, which can increase stress on your lower back. This stretch is easy on your back. As the flexibility in your hamstrings increases, the stress on your lower back may decrease.
Start: Lie on the floor with your buttocks against the wall.
- Place one foot (and leg) on the wall and try to push your knee straight.
- Hold for 30 to 45 seconds.
- Gently release the stretch.
- Repeat with your other leg against the wall.
