9 Easy Stretches to Relieve Back Pain
Sometimes, back pain and neck pain are connected. If your head and shoulders drift forward while you stand or sit, it may cause tension in your neck. If your back pain is caused by poor posture, you may want to try the chin-to-chest stretch. This is a great stretch to do at home or work. It may help relieve some of the tension in the back of your neck.
Start: Standing or sitting.
- Gently begin to look downward, bringing the head close to the chest, until you can feel the stretch in the back of your neck
- Hold for a few seconds and release.
- Repeat as necessary.
