ACL Injuries Continued

If you think you have injured your ACL, discontinue any sports or physical activity until you’ve seen a doctor. Keep your leg elevated and place ice on the injury. You may take an over-the-counter (OTC) pain reliever such as ibuprofen. It is always best to check with your pharmacist before taking any OTC medications. Depending on the severity of the injury, you may need surgery to rebuild the ligament. In this case, rehabilitation will be necessary to rebuild leg and joint strength.
