Carrie Fisher, best known for her role on Star Wars, revealed she had an ongoing struggle with bipolar disorder in 2000. Fisher was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1982 but wasn’t treated until 1997 when she had a psychotic break. A psychotic break is when a person experiences an episode of psychosis.
