Grover Cleveland

Grover Cleveland, America’s 22nd and 24th President, had a long battle with gout. He was an obese man who was known to overindulge in alcohol and foods — all of which increase the risk of gout. In 1908, Cleveland died of a heart attack attributed to gout and gastric attacks.
