Katie Chamberlain, PhD

Dr. Chamberlain earned a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2013 with a focus on viral entry. She is also a 2004 graduate of Loyola University-Chicago with a BA in English and a BS in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. Of particular interest to Dr. Chamberlain are the fields of infectious diseases and genetics.

She is an active writer, editor, teacher and a lifelong learner. She grew up and currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago where she enjoys family, pets, traveling, turtle sundaes and smirking at puns.
