Greenbelt Co-Op Pharmacy

Established in 1984, the Greenbelt Co-op Supermarket and Pharmacy is a full variety supermarket and pharmacy located in the Historic Roosevelt Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Its mission is to provide food, pharmacy and other consumer services to its members and the community of Greenbelt, Maryland. In keeping with its mission, the Co-op strives to support the community and other cooperatives.

Currently, over 8,000 members own and control this non-profit organization. The Co-op offers its customers a variety of traditional grocery items, natural and organic foods, beer and wine, a pharmacy and special events such as wine tastings, foods samplings and wellness programs.

There is a one-time membership fee of $10, but you don't have to be a member to shop. Please refer to our membership page, for more information on the process and benefits of becoming an owner.

As a cooperative, the store is committed to community. The Co-op offers a variety of educational opportunities through its food programs, wine tastings and the Consumer Corner which provides informational handouts, publications and recipes on healthy lifestyles and Co-op news. In addition, the Co-op also gives away $1,000 each year to the community through the Jim Cassels Award for deserving community groups.
