Nature Made Products Recalled

Nature Made products recalled due to possible contamination

(RxWiki News) Pharmavite LLC has issued a recall for specific lots of Nature Made® products due to possible contamination.

These products are being recalled due to possible contamination with salmonella or Staphylococcus aureus, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

When proper testing for salmonella and/or Staphylococcus aureus on these specific lot numbers was found to be incomplete, the manufacturer issued this recall.

Those infected with salmonella typically experience symptoms like fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach pain. Some people may experience a more serious infection. These people are usually young children, the elderly and those with a weakened immune system.

If you consume food that contains Staphylococcus aureus toxin, you may get food poisoning. With food poisoning, typical symptoms include nausea, vomiting and stomach cramping. After consuming contaminated foods, you may begin to experience symptoms rather quickly.

The recalled products and their corresponding lot numbers include the following:

  • Nature Made® Adult Gummies Multi - 1196066, 1196071 and 1205052
  • Nature Made® Adult Gummies Multi + Omega-3 - 1173600
  • Nature Made® Adult Gummies Multi for Her Plus Omega-3s - 1196048 and 1196050
  • Nature Made® Super B Complex w/C & Folic Acid Tablets - 1173779, 1170987, 1204735, 1173146 and 1204001

If you have any of the products listed above, do not take any more doses. Consumers are encouraged to return these products to the retailer for a full refund.
