Pycnogenol Overview
Pycnogenol is made from the bark of the maritime pine tree (Pinus pinaster), which contains naturally occurring chemicals called proanthocyanidins.
Pycnogenol is used for allergies, asthma, circulation problems, muscle pain, high blood pressure, menopausal symptoms, and retinal eye disease, and many other conditions. Pycnogenol is thought to work by antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action.
Some side effects of pycnogenol include dizziness, nausea, and headaches.
