Dramamine is an over the counter medication used to treat symptoms of motion sickness, including nausea, vomiting, and dizziness. Dramamine belongs to a group of drugs called Histamine H1 Antagonists, which blocks the trigger zone in the brain that is responsible for nausea and vomiting. It also calms the nerves in the middle ear that are responsible for balance and stability, which helps treat symptoms of dizziness. 

This medication comes in a tablet and a chewable tablet form, and is often taken once daily with or without food. 

Common side effects of Dramamine include headache, dry mouth, and blurred vision. Dramamine can also cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how Dramamine affects you.
