Cefprozil Overview
Cefprozil is a prescription medication used to treat bacteria infections, such as bronchitis and infections of the ears, throat, sinuses, and skin. This medication belongs to a group of drugs called cephalosporin antibiotics, which work by stopping the growth of bacteria in the body.
Cefprozil comes in tablet and oral suspension (liquid) forms. It is usually taken once or twice daily for 10 days. Cefprozil can be taken with or without food.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Cefprozil may cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how it affects you.
