Afrin Nasal spray is an over the counter medication used to treat nasal congestion. Afrin Nasal spray belongs to a group of drugs called nasal decongestants. These work by relieving the nasal congestion associated with allergies, the common cold, or sinusitis.

This medication comes in a nasal spray form and is used twice a day for no more than 3 days. 

Common side effects of Afrin Nasal spray include dryness of the nasal passages, irritation of the nostrils, and sneezing.
