Vaccine Myths - Busted!

Myth: Vaccines can't be given to people who are sick

Mild illnesses with or without a fever should not be a reason to withhold getting a vaccine. It’s okay to be vaccinated if you’re recovering from an illness, are on antibiotics or have recently been exposed to an infectious disease. Your pharmacist and/or doctor will determine if vaccination should be given or will need to be delayed.
