Exelderm Overview
Sulconazole is a prescription medication used to treat fungal skin infections such as jock itch, athlete's foot (cream only), and ringworm. Sulconazole belongs to a group of drugs called imidazole derivative antifungals. These work by killing the fungi that cause infections on the skin.
This medication comes as a cream or a solution (liquid) to be applied on the affected area and is usually used 1 to 2 times a day, depending on what is being treated.
Common side effects of sulconazole include itching, burning/stinging, and redness of the skin (cream).
